Sire: Patagonia's Admiral
Dam: Patagonia's Pepita

5th Full Shearing - AFD=22.4 SD=4.9 Staple=90mm 2017 sheared 7.2 pounds with over half blanket. Ahanhepi pronounced Ah-han-hep'-ee and we call him A'han. Admiral is the whose who in outstanding blacks coupling Lennox and Danko with Nishio and El Padre lines. The Lennox line carried density into the match and Nishio carried the fineness to produce a fine, very dense male. When Pepita was bred to Admiral it combined Shackleton, Pluro, Neruda, El Vasco, and doubled up on the Danko. This resulted in the outstanding cria, Ahanhepi. Mid Side is where samples have been take. This was the result of mid side age 7: AFD=23.6 SD=4.8 CV=20.2 CF=90.9 We completed a grid sample on him this year age 7 and showed consistent results. Shoulder AFD=25.2 SD=5.1 CV=20.4 CF=85.3 Hip AFD=26.1 SD=5.1 CV=19.6 CF=81.3 This has demonstrated competent fleece characteristics carried long into latter years an excellent trait of a male you want to bring in as a herd sire.

Talk about your sleeper! Iglaspa under 3 month had one thing going for him - a bright reflective fleece. WOW has that changed since! He is developing a well conformed pleasing frame on stilts for legs, good uniform fleece coverage and a lot of it. Add to this some nice tightly crimped fiber and we see this as an application for a job on our farm. Let's see if this just keeps getting better, but his name certainly fits. TO provide us a better objective insight into the qualities we see in Iglaspa we purchased a Grid Sample Test from Ian Watt. The results follow. LOST BOYS

Ile meaning Blaze represents the reflective nature of his true black coat. The consistency travels the full length of his body with higher amplitude high magnitude fleece. You couple that with lower micron and SD and you get what we feel a very nice soft hand. His strong conformation and positive attitude brought this boy to the top of our assessment. We assessed Eli tonight (10-9-2016) and found spot on conformation with excellent leg and tooth set with a straight tail. He was well endowed representing two testicles. He has an outstanding hand and better than medium density. AFD=22, SD=4.95, CV=22.7 places this into the well sought after black fleece with no white fiber we could ascertain. We were most impressed with his conformation style being a strong good looking male.

AFD=21.86 SD=4.82 @ 2nd shearing!
AOA# 31537001  DOB: 9/19/2009  (17 yrs)
Huacaya | Herdsire (Male) | Unproven | True Black

Set color in your herd! AFD ranged from 21.4 to 24.5 for an average of 21.9 on his 18 month birthday and second full fleece shearing. This translates to a nice hand and soft fiber. His fleece is solid black, non-tipping, consistent from head to toe with no white fiber. Crimp style is a low amplitude, high magnitude crimp sporting fineness with density. The features we like best about Raven are the consistency of color and character though out the fleece. He shears over 5 pounds of total fleece. He carries this excellent fleece on a strong boned 180 pound well proportioned frame. His pedigree, Mondavi, Neruda, Shackleton, Kodiak, Caballero Andante, Knighthawk of KPR, and the King's Ransom are well expressed in Raven through conformation, fleece, and easy handling disposition. Because he was on the farm with MAMGB Wasake we were not able to use him but he was our second choice. He has been housed with multiple males and is a good companion. Marge has always enjoyed working with his fleece even today. He deserves a home as we are out of space.
