A solid blue true black male from two that stated out true black and around age three transitioned to modern silver grey with a wholly new fleece in color and texture. MAMGB Natan Sapa's grandfather Patagonia's Neruda was known to do the same winning championships as a juvenile and one year old in true black and championed as a two year old modern silver grey.

There were two words that came to mind when we discovered her in the pasture for the first time - stunning and Exceptional. She is already fully bundled with excellent architecture, very dense, and has a great hand. The black of her fleece just jumps out of the night. As she has matured she is a very good looking female with stunning conformation. We wish to improve her staple length and fineness that is our focus upon breeding this girl while perpetuating that stunning black and conformation. Rather than bouncy we should have named her "Hides in the Night". Her fleece is so black that she disappears when she heads into the unlighted areas of the pasture and simply melts into the dark. We just sheared her and the fleece was scrumptious! Kapsica gave birth to a beautiful black girl on 8-1-2017. She was a bit early for some reason and a "dummy" cria so we had a bit of work to get her to stay with us but it worked and she decided it was a good place to be. We named her cria Maske meaning "Friend" as she partners with us whenever we are around.

MAMGB Wiyaka means Feather Down in Lakota. This name was well earned due to her fleece which is as soft as feather down. She has many crimp per inch, and density. Her blanket characteristics are uniform and carry into her legs, tail, and topknot. Recently assessed she had no guard hair! Pedigree. On the dams side is Knighthawk of KPR, Johnson S112, and The Kings Ransom. The sire is Cresent Moon Velocity, Cresent Moon Valentino, and Danko. Conformation. Her neck, body, and legs are in proportion to each other. She has a great frame on strong legs and an excellent bite. Fleece. AFD=23.2 and SD=5.9 with the average between the Min and Max of 3.55 demonstrates the consistency in what we see in her fleece. Combine this with her staple length and you end up with a lot of nice fleece. Disposition. Wiyaka has always been a mild mannered young lady with high energy. Today we see her developing into a reserved matron who knows her place in the herd. She is so relaxed that working with her is a joy. Even when pregnant she is tolerant of handling and just gets a little more stand-off-ish. She is BVD tested negative, has received her CD&T vaccinations, AVID chipped, and ARI registered. Georgia Meyer of Silver Creek Alpaca sorted and graded Wiyaka. She was impressed with her fleece and stated, "nice, uniform, most versatile for yarn, socks, and knitwear." She graded her WL-3 with 6 out of 10 brightness, 5 of 10 uniformity of crimp, 6 crimp / inch, medium amplitude with a density of 8 out of 10. She graded the fleece dark fawn. She delivered a stunning bay black/black male June 23, 2020 - Phesniza. We are retiring Wiyaka from our Reserved Breeding Program and are now seeking a farm that would like solid improvement in their production.

Tasha's line always has white on the face/forehead. OK not unusual, however, her first clearly had a map of the America's, the second, Australia, New Zealand, and Tanzania, and now Po has the continent of China. I sorta thought bird in a nest but was outvoted.

Lineage is where Omaste starts and was the last in the sires line of AVALON'S JACOB BLACK and the dam from the top line of Patagonia's breeding stock who produces fine fleeced with long staple. This breeding hit it out of the park. Omaste meaning "Sunshine" has been a ray of success demonstrating this with MAMGB Thate Luzah and her most recent cria born on 8/17/2026 whose born on fleece is as soft as a rabbit.

Set color in your herd! AFD ranged from 21.4 to 24.5 for an average of 21.9 on his 18 month birthday and second full fleece shearing. This translates to a nice hand and soft fiber. His fleece is solid black, non-tipping, consistent from head to toe with no white fiber. Crimp style is a low amplitude, high magnitude crimp sporting fineness with density. The features we like best about Raven are the consistency of color and character though out the fleece. He shears over 5 pounds of total fleece. He carries this excellent fleece on a strong boned 180 pound well proportioned frame. His pedigree, Mondavi, Neruda, Shackleton, Kodiak, Caballero Andante, Knighthawk of KPR, and the King's Ransom are well expressed in Raven through conformation, fleece, and easy handling disposition. Because he was on the farm with MAMGB Wasake we were not able to use him but he was our second choice. He has been housed with multiple males and is a good companion. Marge has always enjoyed working with his fleece even today. He deserves a home as we are out of space.

7-12-2018 This young fellow seems to get blacker and blacker by the day while developing a very luxurious blanket. 7-12-2019 After showing in black for two years he followed his great grandfather Patagonia's Neruda and has turned into a beautiful Dark Silver Grey.

MAMGB Suta as a juvenile was clearly show worthy and was intended to compete at Nationals however a bout of diarrhea derailed that idea.
